It must be said that the weather isn't one of Birmingham's major selling points... It rains a lot and is generally pretty dismal. But at least it's never too hot, and it doesn't rain as

much as some cities. Average rainfall is 700mm per year and an average summer temperature is about 23 degrees centigrade. In winter you can expect temperatures around 8 degrees, so not too cold. As long as you take your brolly you'll be alright. And with global warming, who knows? We could be experiencing a Mediterranean climate before long!
