Hull is not really known for the quality of its cuisine - just plain Yorkshire fare is expected. There are a range of restaurants, however, which cater to the student population

and provide good international food. One thing that Hull has in abundance is pubs, good traditional ones which serve real ale and have excellent character. Ye Olde White Harte has been around since the 1550s, and hasn't changed a bit.
